Tatiana Sotiropoulou

Born in Cyprus, she moved with her family to Greece after the Turkish Invasion of Cyprus in 1974. After regular studies she obtained a bachelor's degree at the Columbus College of Art and Design in Columbus, Ohio and specialised in illustration. She returned to Cyprus and taught in Nicosia and became an arts inspector at the Cypriot Ministry of Education. She illustrated 20 children's books and in 2005 collaborated with US illustrator Erik Maell to design the Cypriot euro coins, which entered circulation in 2008.
